Stored LMS Class Hughes Horwich Crab 2-6-0 No. 42835 at Carlisle Canal Shed on 9th June 1963, the penultimate Sunday 8 days before the shed closed on 17th June 1963. It is in British Railways lined black livery. The loco was withdrawn from Canal Shed (codes 12B 12C 68E) on 29 December 1962 and cut up by J. Trainspotting members of the 'Border Railway Society' can be seen in the cab. L-R Chris, one of the Garlick twins (no one could tell them apart), Ian Hewson, Johnnie Walker (with his trademark 'bobble hat') and the other Garlick twin, David. They are all wearing anoraks and jeans. Built at Crewe Works and released on 16 January 1927, it was withdrawn from 65F Grangemouth shed in December 1966 and cut up by Campbells, Airdrie in April 1967
