Introduced 1899. Drummond LSWR design, fitted with superheater and larger cylinders by urie from 1922.
(a) Introduced 1899. Locos with detail differences and originally fitted with firebox watertubes, subsequently removed.
(b) Introduced 1900. Locos with wider cabs and splashers, and without coupling rod splashers. Originally fitted with firebox watertubes, subsequently removed.
(c) Temporarily converted to oil burning in 1947, then reconverted.
(d) = Both (a) and (c), (e) = Both (b) and (c)
