Built 1943-56. Designed by Alfred John Hill.

Total Number Built 8 - Total to BR 8.

Introduced 1943. Rebuild of Hill GER Class J20 1920 design with Class B12/1 style round-topped boiler.

Number Series 64675-64699 (with gaps - see Locomotive Numbers below).

All the class spent most of their working lives allocated to Stratford, Cambridge and March sheds although, surprisingly, some visited both Darlington and Doncaster Works for attention betwen 1926-1930.
