GWR Class Powlesland & Mason Peckett 0-4-0 Saddle Tank

Built 1912-16. Designed by Peckett.

Total Number Built 3 - Total to BR 3.

Introduced January 1912. Peckett design for Powlesland & Mason. Classification 0F.

Number Series 696, 779, 935

Renumbered respectively by BR to 1150 December 1951, 1151 October 1950, 1152 June 1949.

(PM Nos. 3, 4, 12).

Built at Peckett & Sons Works, Bristol - Works Numbers 1328, 1449, 1179.

No Lot Nos.

The locos were a short wheelbase, typical Peckett design with added Great Western features and were also fitted with a warning bell.

Built in July 1913, loco 1150 (696) was the first to be withdrawn in November 1952.
Loco 1152 (935), built in January 1912, was the next one withdrawn in December 1961.
Loco 1151 (779), built in September 1916 was the final one in the class and lasted until August 1963.
All were withdrawn from Swansea East Dock shed.
None are preserved.
