EE Type 3 Class 37/0 37262 (D6962) at Inverness on 02 July 1984

Allocated to Inverness IS MPD, 37262 awaits the off, hauling 2K03 06.35 Inverness - Wick.

Built by EE Vulcan Foundry in January 1965, it went new to Sheffield Darnall depot. In May 1982 it was transferred to Inverness MPD and fitted with mini snow ploughs, headlight and RETB for working the Far North lines, where it remained for most of the rest of its career. Stored by EWS for component recovery in July 2000 it was withdrawn by DRS in Oct 2003 and cut up at Sims Metals, Beeston in Feb 2004.
