EE Type 3 Class 37/0 37154 (D6854) at Newton on 26 April 1984

Allocated to Motherwell ML MPD, 37154 powers through, coming off the Hamilton Circle and running up light engine.

Built at EE Vulcan Foundry in July 1963, it was first allocated to Swansea Landore depot. It spent March 1973 in Doncaster works being repaired following a rear end collision at Quintinshill which totally destroyed the cab above the frames. It saw service around the country for 36 years and was then withdrawn by EWS still wearing its Transrail livery in Dec 1999 and cut up at Wigan CRDC in July 2000.
